Jason Cook is an American artist living and working in France. Since finishing his studies as Bachelor of Fine Arts at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2006 he has traveled and worked with many artists using new technology as an expressive medium in New Orleans and Chicago (US), Montreal (CA), Aix-en-Provence and Paris (FR). The principal motivation in his choice of projects, independent or collaborative, is the potential of working with movement, kinetic behaviors and animation in general. Robotics, mechanics, programming and custom electronics are the basis of his skillset in practices of experimentation, development and production.
